Star Anna & Alex Ashley Return
For the second year in a row, the Americana artists will take the stage of Yakima, Washingtons premier music venue, the Seasons Performance Hall -- this time together -- for an intimate evening of storytelling and original music.

On Friday, May 4, 2018, the sounds of acoustic guitars will resonate within the walls of the nearly 90-year-old Seasons Performance Hall as acclaimed Americana artists, Star Anna and Alex Ashley, take the stage for an evening of intimate, all-acoustic performances.
The show will begin with a brief opening set by Jayleigh Ann & the Lost Boys, who have become a fixture in Yakimas music scene.

The region is lucky to have such a unique venue that is dedicated to the performing arts, said Ashley, who surprised audiences last year when he shared the stage with Pacific Northwest folk icon, Bradford Loomis. This of course used to be an old church, he continued,  and theres something in these old buildings, in these old wooden church pews, that does something to the music. It reminds me of a mini Ryman.

Star Anna and Alex Ashley promise an engaging evening, more than what you might see at a local bar. Star and I have both led very complicated lives, Ashley said. For us its about telling a story, and helping people find pieces of themselves they didnt realize they had when they walked in the door. We do that through our songs.

Alex Ashley: Compared to a young Vince gill, Jackson Browne, Eric Clapton and John Mayer, Alex masterfully [weaves] the old with the new, [bringing] fresh eyes and an old soul to the gritty realities of life and love lost, said Dillon Honcoop, of the Cascade Radio Group. With an unorthodox approach [speaking of his method of playing guitar upside down and backwards], Ashley delivers heartfelt vocals and wields his well-worn six-string to stir fresh reflection on the human condition in a way only honest American music can. And thats what he makes - real music of the tortured and fiercely independent West, rooted firmly in the musical traditions of country and rock & roll. | www.alexashley.org

Star Anna: Star has been a fixture of the Seattle music scene for at least a decade, collaborating with everyone from Pear Jams Mike McCready to the Seattle Symphony. She is the real deal, wrote Seattle Weeklys Duff McKagan. There is a pain in her voice that comes from somewhere deep, a place I dare not ask where it comes from. The young singer-songwriter exudes hard living, it was said of Star when her song Through the Winter appeared as NPRs Song of the Day, from her world-weary, head-turning voice and classic-sounding take on Americana straight through to her biting tales of love gone bad. | www.facebook.com/thestaranna
