The first Star City Supper Club will take place at The River and Rail, featuring guest chef Travis Milton of Miltons at the Western Front in Saint Paul, VA. A Southwest Virginia native, Chef Travis learned the traditions of true Appalachian cooking at a very early age and worked in some of the top kitchens in the country before pursuing his dream of opening a true Appalachian restaurant with a reverence for Southern heritage. Chefs Travis and Aaron will collaborate on an Appalachian-inspired menu, showcasing both the humble beginnings and the modern glory of the cuisine.
The evening will commence with a cocktail reception from 5:30pm-6:30pm, featuring specialty drinks made with the finest seasonal ingredients by The River and Rails bar manager, Shane Lumpp. The four-course dinner begins with rustic, family-style dishes created with old-school techniques and ends with modern, plated dishes in creative iterations. Each course will be paired with a varietal from Charlottesvilles Blenheim Vineyards Winery.
The ticket price includes dinner, wine pairings, hors d'oeuvres and complimentary rosé during the cocktail reception. Specialty cocktails will be available for $10 each.
