The show is presented as part of "Sundays at Seven" "Sundays at Seven" is a Series presented by TWEED TheaterWorks, Kevin Malony Artistic Director.
TWEED TheaterWorks (EST 1983), Kevin Malony Artistic director, has been partnering with Pangea for the past three years to present a stellar performance series on Sundays (and some others days!) that combines the best of the "old school' and the "up & coming" musical, performance, and theater artists that NYC has to offer. www.tweedtheater.org
A frequent accompanist and arranger in the downtown scene, Matthew Dean Marsh finally takes to the microphone, singing songs he's written over the years. Lyrics poignant and direct, his sound has been frequently dubbed as "folk-soul." Joined by singers Kuhoo Verma and Ariel Blackwood, they create a vocal blend with rich harmonies that are not to be missed.
MATTHEW DEAN MARSH is a Brooklyn based composer, writer, and performer. His compositions have sounded at Madison Square Garden, Barclays Center, Lincoln Center, the Michigan Opera House, BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), MassMOCA, and the White House in Washington, DC (in 1999, don't worry). He has accompanied or collaborated with many downtown artists including David Cale, Joseph Keckler, Carol Lipnik, Ato Blankson-Wood, Preston Martin, Ronald Peet, Barrie McLain, Jo Lampert, Max Jenkins/Tom Hennes, Salty Brine, Todd Almond, Erin Markey, Michael Musto, Michael Cavadias, Shaina Taub, and Sherie Rene Scott. Matthew is a proud member of the Emergence Collective, a songwriting group that performs monthly at Rockwood.

Downtown's intimate supper-club Pangea is the ultimate in alt, playing home to some of the best in alt cabaret. The New York Times recently called it a bohemian oasis not unlike the fabled Max's Kansas City from days gone by."
