Improv with Emotion (with invited teacher Keith Saltojanes)
To Be Continued... - Edinburgh's own improv comedy theatre - are excited to welcome Keith Saltojanes of Improv-LA for this special invited teacher workshop!
Overview:
Improv is about playing. But what do you do when you are too stuck in your head and let fear stop you? Well there's one easy superpower trick to use to get back to having fun, (shhhh it's Emotions) and that's what we'll cover in this class.
About Keith Saltojanes:
Visiting from Los Angeles, California, Keith Saltojanes has been improvising for over a decade and has been a part of every major improv theater in the United States including UCB, ImprovOlympic West, Second City, The Groundlings, The Annoyance, and also the Founder and Head Instructor of his own school, Improv-LA. Keith extensively studied with Del Close's "Warchief" and member of the seminal improv group The Family, Miles Stroth, who he performed with for over a year. In addition to recently sharing his lessons in Japan, Thailand, and China, Keith also holds the Guinness World Record for Longest Improv Show at 150 hours. He's been on a number of TV shows, his most favorite being "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
Don't tell Los Angeles, but Keith has a love affair with traveling overseas and is more than excited to work with some local comedians!
About To Be Continued...:
Formed in 2009 in Edinburgh, TBC... perform and teach the noble art of spontaneous improvised comedic performance throughout Scotland (from Edinburgh and Glasgow; up to St Andrews and right out to the Isle of Arran) and anywhere else they are offered a warm welcome (including, but not exclusive to: Prague, Oxford, Buxton, Brighton and Barnstaple)!
Since its inception, TBC... has had three main goals:
1 - To perform the improvised comedy they love so much;
2 - To share that love of the improvised comedy form;
3 - To help cultivate an improv scene in Scotland where numerous groups can perform and teach improv comedy regularly
