Bethesda Green Finance Workshop Series for Green Businesses
Types of Financing and Deal Structure

The February workshop is free for incubator companies; $15 for all others.

DESCRIPTION: This third workshop will address the different types of investment utilized by early stage companies and the financing structures related to each.  These are:
-- Common Stock: Friends and Family Round
-- Convertible Note: Friends and Family or Angel Round
-- Series A Preferred: Professional Angel or VC Round

While all three provide growth capital for the company, they each come with different sets of rights for the investors and obligations for the company. As the founder of a company, it is important to understand the differences between these financing structures. The panel will include an attorney/entrepreneur, venture capital investor and an entrepreneur, all of whom are experienced in doing investment deals.

SPEAKERS:
-- Anthony Millin, Lerch, Early and Brewer
-- Asher Epstein, Managing Director, Mosaic Venture Partners
-- Charles Segerman, CEO, Clean Currents

WORKSHOP SERIES SPONSORS:
-- Montgomery County Department of Economic Development
-- U.S. Small Business Administration

WORKSHOP PARTNERS
