A Copland Celebration
The 2013 SOA Gala will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the exquisitely beautiful George Washington Masonic Memorial Theatre in Alexandria, Virginia. The Symphony Orchestra of Arlington, SOA Chorale, soloists and guest artists will bring to life the music of Aaron Copland, one of America's greatest composers. Our musical tribute will feature several of Copland's most beloved works, including "Fanfare for the Common Man", "Hoe-down", "Variations on a Shaker Hymn", "A Lincoln Portrait" and more! Where better to honor one great American than in a theatre honoring another? In addition to the concert, the Gala event will include a gourmet dessert bar, silent auction and wine reception.
