Orcas Island Shakespeare Festival: Julius Caesar

The Seattle Shakespeare Company presents Julius Caesar.

Shakespeare's great political thriller portrays the life-and-death struggle for power in Rome. Envious of the charismatic Caesar and his ambitions, a faction of politicians plot his assassination. After Caesar is killed, chaos consumes Rome. Julius Caesar investigates the turbulent nature of power and the ethics of those who wield it.

The 2nd Annual Shakespeare Festival will feature a production by the Seattle Shakespeare Company, the Puget Sound region's yearround professional classical theatre, as well as parades and impromptu acting by Orcas musicians and performers both young and old, and a variety of offerings from island restaurants, hotels and shops. William Shakespeare himself will kick off the festival and the weekend festivities will conclude with the Seattle Shakespeare Company's performance of Julius Caesar.
