The Experimental Theatre Project presents "Heretic Links"
From the playwright who brought you the "caustic satire" that "raise[d] your hackles" in last June's production of "Hook the Holy Hollow":
In "Heretic Links," cross-dressing Catharina Linck faces an Inquisition trial with commedia-style resistance, strenuous vocal repartee, and an over-active imagination. Based on a true Inquisition court case in late medieval Germany, "Heretic Links" showcases Catharina's madcap antics as she marries another woman, joins and deserts the military multiple times, and joins one church after another in order to receive alms -- all until she must come to terms with the overwhelming power of the Inquisition.

"Heretic Links" was selected as one of eight finalists in the 1996 National Playwriting Competition sponsored by Wichita State University, and is supported in part by the Washington State Arts Commission.
"Heretic Links" is written by Roxanne Ray, directed by Teresa Thuman, and features the performing talents of Kayti Barnett, Louise Penberthy, Jenny Schmidt, Jessica Stepka, Yvette Zaepfel, and Amber Zipperer, as well as the design talents of Regan deVictoria, Katie Lawrence, Michael Mowery, and Bruce Wheelock, as well as Chryste Call as Stage Manager, Amanda Askea as Production Team Member, and poster design and photography by Ken Holmes. Please join us for this exploration of passion and tyranny.
The Experimental Theatre Project of White Cat Productions aims to create theatre and performance that pushes experimental boundaries of both playwriting and production. The Experimental Theatre Project seeks to engage in multi-disciplinary experimentation and innovation, as well as artistic integrity and excellence, in all of its performance endeavors. ETP is particularly interested in the relevance of performance to social and cultural concerns, and strives to explore these issues in theatrical form as well as in content.
When rebellion meets state-religion, how long can the fun continue?
