Experience an up close encounter with the Empress of the Blues, Bessie Smith, as she wails through an intimate evening of her greatest hits in "Moan Them Blues". This new original musical by the author of "For the Love of Mahalia" and "The Voices of Donny Hathaway" takes you back to one of the dive bars that were the focus of the last few years of Bessie's career, when bookings were hard to come by and the sound of music was rapidly changing.
