Politics and Prose Presents MICHAEL ONDAATJE
Michael Ondaatje is one of the English language's most luminous, poetic writers. His 1992 novel THE ENGLISH PATIENT won the Man Booker Prize, and his novels and poetry are read around the world. His latest novel, WARLIGHT, is another masterwork. It opens with two siblings left alone in post-Blitz London, protected only by a mysterious figure named The Moth. They suspect that he's a criminal, and grow both more convinced and less concerned as they come to know his eccentric crew of friends, all of whom swear they protected England during the war. But are these friends really what and who they claim to be?
Ondaatje will be in conversation with Howard Norman, author of many novels including, most recently, MY DARLING DETECTIVE.
