AIAOC Lunch Program- New Thinking About Performance Metrics
Presented By:
GLUMAC engineers for a sustainable future™ A Tetra Tech Company
Common performance metrics such as EUI, PUE and gallons/day are useful tools in tracking resource consumption, but they have limits. This presentation will explore advanced performance metrics covering energy, water, waste, human factors, and more. Then, scale will be introduced to explore how jumping from building-scale to district-scale, or even city-scale should impact the way we measure and evaluate performance.
Learning Objectives:
Develop an understanding of new performance metrics and in what applications certain metrics are appropriate Recognize how different factors impact energy use, water use, and waste production Learn how scale affects usefulness of various performance metrics Be encouraged to develop customized metrics for their own projects to appropriately track performance over time
