Localoops: Light & Sound
Localoops: Light & Sound is a multi-projector immersive live performance in the Frank Buxton Auditorium at BIMA. This innovative evening show will feature multiple 16mm projectors simultaneously screening work by film artists Ruth Hayes, Caryn Cline, Catherine Alice Michaelis, Eric Ostrowski, and Devon Damonte, accompanied by quadrophonic sound by Peter Randlette. Student film footage created earlier in the day during the Direct Animation workshop will also be seen.
These movies (or flicks / motion graphics/ images in high velocity sequence) are all made by hand, without cameras (nor any other infernal contraption devices). Bring friends and family to watch them projected on the big screen. All ages welcome, pay what you can at the door.
