Mark Starr has been honing his sound for over a decade, however his career was put in the fast lane after his Sunshine EP was noticed by Kill Frenzy and other members of Dirtybird records. That early Dirtybird connection came to full fruition once label-boss Claude VonStroke tweeted at the young producer, stating plainly: "send me something as good as your last remix (of Wet::Sex's "Spaceship") and it's signed on the spot!"
A fortuitous moment in Mark's career, which has been on a steady upward ascent ever since; in the past year, he's released music on Skrillex's label OWSLA and made himself a home on San Francisco's Dirtybird with his track "Rood Boy," featured on the 2013 Dirtybird Players compilation, which has been rinsed around the world by artists such as Justin Martin, Skream & Benga, Stanton Warriors, Riva Starr, Shadow Child and most recently was in heavy rotation in sets by Skrillex and Jack U. Mark has seen airplay of his originals and remixes on BBCRadio1, Radio1Xtra, BBC Radio 1s Essential Mix, Ministry Of Sound Radio and has had a guest mix featured on Foamo as well as Shadow Childs Rinse.FM program.
With original releases and remixes on Shadow Child and Kry Wolfs Food Music, OWSLA/NestIV, Hot N Heavy, No Brainer Records and Perfect Driver Records; most notably having his remix of Aaron Snapess Whatcha Wanna Do featured in Claude Vonstrokes recent Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. The release of Mark's recent ep "Mortem" has seen a wide array of support including Claude Vonstroke, Justin Martin, Skream, Friend Within, Roska, T.Williams, Astronomar, Elite Force, DJ Icey, Eats Everything, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, and Rinse.FM.
Continuing his upwards ascent in 2015 Mark will return on the taste making label like Dirtybird as well as Billy Kennys This Aint Bristol, Mark Starr has become the one to watch in the international house and breaks scene.
