Muggle Quidditch

Quidditch, a sport in the Harry Potter books, has inspired many people to play Muggle Quidditch, also known as Ground Quidditch, a non-magical (but yet, oh so magical) version of the game. As it is adapted from the game in the book, people have made many different versions. We have a very straightforward version that emphasizes fair play and teamwork! But just because we arent flying doesnt mean it wont be a sweaty, athletic, magical experience! The past two years have been a smash success and we hope to add more teams this year! This class will culminate in the 3rd Annual Chicago Muggle Quidditch Cup where we will be given the option to test our skills against other youth teams!

Primary Instructor: Rick Olson and Kevin Johnson
Tier: Hero and Legend with some mature Adventurer (Please look at Adventurer options on Wednesdays)
Day: Mondays (additional game days may be scheduled)
Time: 12:30 pm - 2:35 pm

Start and end date: April 2nd-May 31st
Location: Pendulum Space in North Center (1803 W. Byron St. #216, Chicago, IL 60613) Please note: A great deal of our classes will take place, weather permitting, outside at a nearby park)
Min/max: 8-32

Notes:
This class is athletic.
Please make sure your young person is dressed like an athlete.
We practice at 1715 W. Berteau. We will be leaving Pendulum during lunch to walk to the park. Please bring lunches that are easy to eat quickly. If this is your young persons first class of the day you can meet us at 1715 W. Berteau but MUST stay with your child until we arrive. You can also pick up at either 1715 W. Berteau or Pendulum.

Chicago Quidditch Cup is tentatively set for Monday, May 28th (Memorial Day) pending park approval. You do not have to play in the Cup to join this class but our coach, Rick Olson, must know you are going to miss it when you register.

We do have Mandatory Scrimmage on Monday, May 21st
We are looking for a parent team to play game day. Rick will be more than willing to meet with you and teach you the game
We are looking for parents to help us with concession, t-shirts, gate, and so on
