Margaret Maxwell - Regional Collaborative Service Delivery
The Calgary and Area Regional Collaborative Service Delivery (RCSD) is part of a provincial program to support the integration of services for children and youth. Regional Collaborative Service Delivery involves a regional partnership between: Local School Authorities Alberta Health Services (Child and Youth Addiction, Mental Health Services and Rehabilitative Services) Alberta Childrens Services Alberta Community and Social Services First Nations and Other community stakeholders Krista Carter - Coalitions and the EDI Results
Early Development Instrument Data What does is it tell us and how are communities utilizing the results to promote positive early child development? Join us to learn about the latest EDI results and how a number of community coalitions have utilized their funding to develop strategies and actions to address the results in their communities.
Joan Green - Calgary Reads and Grade Level Reading This campaign builds awareness of how important it is to help children learn to read successfully by grade three. It focuses on three main areas: school readiness, summer slide and absenteeism. Calgary Reads is a lead organization in the Calgary coalition that runs the campaign, which is aimed at promoting initiatives that improve the lives of children by helping them become proficient in reading by grade three.
Alina Turner - Help Seeker App
HelpSeeker is a web based application dedicated to connecting those in need with the right services, at the right time. It's one-stop-online-shop to connect those in need of help with programs and resources for: housing, shelters, domestic violence, recreation, counseling, parenting, mental health, addictions, education, and much more. Jenn Nahu - I Am Ready Booklets The Im Ready booklets are to be used as an engagement tool with parents and caregivers. The booklets should only be given out in the context of a conversation with parents and caregivers. This approach enables them to understand the booklet, ask questions about the information, and build a relationship with you. A conversation also increases their ability to use the book and perhaps share it with someone else.
