Nursery Summer Intensive
Upgrade your improv and improve your summer with the Nursery Summer Intensive, a week of cooperation, exploration and laughter. Come spend five days building your team and your skills at the Nursery Training Centre in London Bridge.
The Nurserys style of improv empowers the improviser. We give you the skills to play the scenes you want to play, when and how you want to play them. We combine freewheeling joy with gentle, connected play. Learn to delight your partner by looking after yourself.
During this intensive, you will spend four hours a day with two of the Nurserys most experienced improvisers and teachers, learning new skills and receiving close personal feedback. You will heighten your skills and work on your weaknesses, as well as being introduced to editing and idea creation techniques from the famous Harold. Towards the end of the week, you will work on a montage form, creating the form of the show as you go.
After the course, participants will find that they are more confident, fluid and easy onstage. You will have a new set of skills which help both onstage and off.
Syllabus includes: Working supportively in a group Effortlessly generating ideas Playing and returning to rich and detailed characters Connecting with your partner Using what is already there in the scene
This course takes place over five days from 11am to 3pm at the Nursery training Centre, Capital House, 42 Weston Street, SE1 3QD and costs £215 or £185 if you book a month or more before. Please note that course fees are non-refundable when paid.
