Lost in the expanse of time, buried beneath societys modern facade, exist worlds forgotten. Their silent footprints once lively epicenters prevail only as mythical legends and mysterious fragments of memories created along the path of time.
These worlds- some we have since uncovered, display advancements that far surpass the technology of their time. Their temples, built in perfect unity with the cosmic pathways to withstand the test of time, demonstrate a cohesive belief in something bigger than us all. Their mysteries remain hidden within the walls of tombs, temples dedicated to gods unknown, symbols we have yet to decode, and entire worlds not yet discovered.
Join us WAVES Presents: Worlds Forgotten us as we step back in time and channel our spirits to those ancient worlds that came before us. We will be constructing a temple of our own- a monument symbolizing the love we have for each other, the gift that is music and art: its ability to heal, comfort, bring people together, and offer an escape from a reality where those qualities are sometimes lacking.
Happening one night only, this event will feature aerial performances, two stages, custom made immersive visuals on a projection mapped stage, and a second upstairs silent disco with two channels of music to satisfy the tastes of many. With 60 feet of projection mapped wall in addition to our new projection mapped temple stage, the visual experience of Worlds Forgotten will be unlike any other. We will be teaming up with Soundown Seattle for the silent disco, as well as Thrive by Allen Oh who will be curating the second upstairs stage. Additionally, this event will also feature custom lighting, lasers, and strobe lighting, so please be cautious if you have photosensitivity.
About WAVES:
WAVES is a collective of artists from various backgrounds that aim to bring diversity to the Seattle electronic music scene. Through the curation of events centered around music and artistic exhibition, we strive to focus on bringing a unique artistic element to our shows, while also providing an immersive experience for our attendees. WAVES is the result of collaborative efforts rooted within relationships formed through the shared love of the electronic music scene and the dynamic culture that encompasses it; however, as electronic dance music culture grows into the mainstream, as does the need for initiatives like our own to preserve the foundations that the electronic music scene was built upon. The core of these being the freedom of artistic expression, resistance and liberation from society's afflictions, and most importantly, a deep love and respect for one and another. In this respect, the community of our culture is like no other. It is through this collective aspiring and dreaming that we have been able to grow as artists in ways never imagined, and has ultimately lead us here; now, we hope you will be a participant in achieving this shared goal and helping us make "WAVES."
