Brandywine In Black 2018 5th Anniversary Gala
Welcome to the Fifth Anniversary Brandywine In Black featuring - the Brandywine Valley's most sought after Pop-Up BYO dinner every year as Spring commences. Our theme this year is Casablanca.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, April 14 beginning at 5pm and ending promptly at 10pm. In keeping things 'secret' we'll announce the location of the event on the evening of Thursday, April 12. The event will be indoors.
This year, we've expanded our ticket capacity. And, although the dominant color is Black, this year we've added the accent color "GOLD" to commemorate five years of giving back to the community. This year we've also expanded our silent auction with new items and exciting experiences for individuals and families.
We're thrilled with a new venue this year and repeating our beneficiary organization Neighbors For Crebilly, LLC. The group formed in late summer 2016 as an advocacy group seeking to redirect the outcome of the proposed development of Crebilly Farm.
Crebilly Farm is an iconic 322-acre farm that is part of Brandywine Battlefield hosting some of the first skirmishes of our country's Revolutionary War. The development plan will forever change history as the parcel is leveled to make way for a colony of 319 homes and town homes.
With your help last year and continuing into this year, Neighbors For Crebilly will be able to continue it's work. In the past year we've had several successes from gaining party status to having the Conditional Use Application denied in a unanimous vote.
The net proceeds from Brandywine In Black will be pooled with other funds from private individuals, organizations and other fundraisers to offset the ongoing costs of legal defense, hiring professional consultants and the continued costs of outreach.
