Beauty vs Beast: An Original Musical Parody of a Tale as Old as Time
Beauty vs Beast: An Original Musical Parody of a Tale as Old as Time! Beauty vs Beast is an original musical parody of Beauty and the Beast. We explore beauty standards, gender roles, and the patriarchy - through comedy!
Two narrators disagree on how to tell this story, making changes along the way - leading to hilarious songs and dances. They follow Belle through her pretty town to the enchanted castle, questioning the need to present old stories in the same way simply because it's the way it's always been.
Throughout the show, they adjust the script, cut scenes, add songs, and argue about every twist and turn along the way. Is Belle's entire destiny really just to fall in love? Is beauty really the only thing that matters? Can anyone ever really learn to love a Beast?
