Dalhousie Legal Aid "Social Justice Soirée"
This years fundraiser for the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service will be a casual and local wine, beer, cider and spirits tastings! The ticket price includes tastings of spirits, hors doeuvres and a donation in support of the clinic. Wine will be provided by Benjamin Bridge, who will also be debuting their Nova 7 vintage the same week! Beer will be supplied by Good Robot, Cider by Chainyards and spirits by Bishops Cellar! The event will be held at McInnes Coopers beautiful atrium, overlooking the waterfront. The doors will open at 5 pm and the event will end at 8 pm. Guests are encouraged to pop by for as long as or as quick as their schedule allows. There will also be a silent auction, and the presentation of the Ruth Pink Award for Youth Development and Social Justice. The Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic is a community-based legal clinic in the North end of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Clinic provides free services to low-income communities, does community outreach, education, organizing, lobbying and test case litigation to combat injustices affecting persons with low incomes in Nova Scotia.
