The Wooly presents Kids Create! at The Depot Event Space (March)
We are super excited to present art classes for local children led by local art enthusiasts.
The goal of this monthly series is to foster the joy of creating and imagining through art and expression. We are hoping to inspire Gainesville children, who may one day bolster Gainesville's art scene as an adult.
The first class will be led by artist Cindy Steiler (http://cindysteiler.com/home.html).
In the March edition of Kids Create!, we will briefly explore the work of outsider artist James Castle, deaf from birth. We will create assemblage people and animals in the style of Castle using the same materials he used including cardboard, repurposed materials and string.
$5 cost will go toward materials.
Saturday, March 31st
Ages 3-5: 9-10am
Ages 6-10: 10:30-11:30am
