Just as I Remember Canada, 2012, 17 minutes Director: Andrew Moir When Andrew Moir was four years old his father was told he had ALS with two to five years to live. Now a filmmaker, Andrew finds a young family facing similar circumstances in an effort to re-experience his childhood and learn about his father's experience. Brad has ALS and three young children. He faces a heartbreaking choice that will change his children's futures forever. This short documentary follows Brad and his family as they cope with the challenges of parenting in the face of this devastating disease, exploring it from Andrew's perspective.
Out of Body USA, 2011, 4 minutes Director: J. Christian Jensen An unexpected look at an African American computer scientist and dancer who conspires against death and disease in an unusual way.
Still Moving: Pilobolus at Forty USA, 2012, 38 minutes Director: Jeffrey Ruoff At Dartmouth College in the 1970s, four male athletes joined a dance class, improvising vigorous creations from scratch. Their collaborative work led to the formation of Pilobolus and the transformation of modern dance. Eschewing the bright lights of Manhattan, and naming themselves after a microscopic fungus, Pilobolus centered in rural Connecticut. The troupe honed a movement philosophy to teach dancers and non-dancers alike. Still Moving: Pilobolus at Forty focuses on the company's lifecycle--including a founder's death--its evolution, transformation, and regeneration.
