Franz Joseph Haydn's Stabat Mater
Capella Antiqua and Cathedral Choir join forces with soloists Robin Fisher, Valerie Loera, Matthew Hidalgo, and Daniel Yoder to provide a moving concert of one of Haydn's most famous works. First performed in 1768, Haydn's Stabat Mater explores the depths of human emotions, from despair and grief, to lasting joy. This work contains some of the composers most rich and deeply felt writing, with moving choruses and soaring solos. Come enjoy Haydn as he was meant to be heard, with period instruments and astounding voices, in the exquisite surroundings of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament.
