Quorum Masked Ball, Bowie-style
Inspired by *that* scene in Labyrinth (you know the one), Quorum Boston is holding a fundraiser of the best kind - a masked ball!
Refreshments will be served, David Bowie will be played, and fun will be had.
Dress: Bring your own mask, or decorate one here! Go mask-free if you need to, or paint your face wild colors. Wear your ball-gown and cape, your most dapper suit, or your favorite flannel. Come in full drag, or straight from the gym, it's up to you, but be sure to wear your dancing shoes!
Donations: A $20 donation is suggested, $10 for student/low-income. No one denied entry, but do pay what you can to support the cause and cover the party expenses!
The cause: Quorum Boston is a new LGBTQ Vocal Ensemble in town. We are queers making music by queer composers. We queer the canon (yes, Barber, Cage, Britten, Tchaikovsky, and the like were queer, yes that does matter, and yes the public should know about it), but we also support the work of living composers, particularly those living in or having strong ties to the Boston queer community. Your donations support: the composition of a new piece by our Resident Composer, paying our accompanist and conductor for their hard work, and other costs associated with running a vocal ensemble, like, you know, music. Any funds raised over $2100 will go directly towards gender-affirming surgery for a friend of Quorum.
