FLOW FOLLIES Musical Comedy Fundraiser- "The Unreal World"
FLOW Follies, is pleased to present its' 32nd annual original musical comedy variety show and fundraising event,
THE UNREAL WORLD". This years fundraiser presentation is a fun filled mélange of comedy, song and dance along with 50/50 raffles, an array of basket auctions, mini-scholarship drawing for RIH senior students and Munchies & Matinee luncheon special for senior citizens, all an effort to raise scholarship funds for the 2018 Ramapo and Indian Hills district graduating seniors.
"THE UNREAL WORLD" is set much like popular reality TV shows, featuring celebrity favorites on a mission. This collection of oddly-matched characters all sharing a rental house need to come up with the rent money or they are out! Their clashing personalities and annoying comical traits (Think Spiderman, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Marge & Homer Simpson, Katniss Everdeen, Yoda, Spongebob and singer Sia along with other strange birds) make for big laughs as they find themselves in the craziest of situations as they search for ways to come up with the money! Add renditions of classic Broadway and Billboard tops, professionally choreographed dances, special guest performances from the RIH Dance Team, FLOW Tappers, the adorable FLOW Follies K-8 Children's choir and local special guests and you have a highly entertaining show for all ages!
More than 50 RIH High School parents, educators, FLOW Follies Alumni and Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff community members will sing, act, dance, build sets and sew costumes for this one-of-a-kind production. Proceeds from the event will go to fund scholarships for the 2018 graduating seniors of the Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools, including needs based students.
Since inception in 1986, FLOW Follies has raised over $700,000 which has been distributed to hundreds of students, making it the single largest scholarship fundraiser for the two high schools. FLOW Follies is a committee under the parent organizations for Ramapo and Indian Hills High Schools (IHHS PTSO/Ramapo APTS) registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organizations.
Performances: March 8, 9, 10 at 7:30 p.m. and *March 11 at 2:00 p.m.
