There is much speculation and myth about Mary Magdalene, but for me the most important thing that the Gospel of Mary Magdalene is that it clearly shows what a powerful leader and influence she played in Jesus's life. Her role as a leader of the Apostle--She herself being an Apostle to the Apostle, finally recognized by Pope Francis, clearly indicates what an amazing enlighten woman she was and is today. She is a model for us of how to awaken.
