Song Reader: A concert experience of the music of Beck Hansen
Song Reader is a bound folder of music that Beck Hanson produced in 2012. Instead of recording an album of the songs he wrote, he put the sheet music for the pieces into a collection with artwork that resembles what was seen when music was distributed in the early 20th century (before radio). Beck intended for there to be no reference recordings and encouraged musicians to experiment with their own interpretation. Tony Robinson's original arrangements of songs from the Reader will be performed by musicians and singers in a concert experience.
