Science, Nature and a Biscuit- Cooper's Hawks
Science, Nature and a Biscuit- Cooper's Hawks Saturday, March 24 2:00pm-3:30pm Seward Park Audubon Center $5 per person- includes your buttermilk biscuit
Coopers Hawks are an agile group of raptors called accipiters that knife through the forest at amazing speeds! But they haven't always had healthy urban population numbers. Master Birder Ed Deal has been studying these amazing predators for the last 6 years and will talk about his work monitoring the expanding local population of Coopers Hawks in Seattle.
This is the first event in our brand new series called Science, Nature and a Biscuit which invites various local experts to discuss science and nature topics from around the area. In addition to thought provoking naturalist presentations, we will provide food for the body in the form of hot biscuits with butter and jam! What could be better?
