Queer, Mama. Crossroads
Gay City Arts presents: Queer, Mama. Crossroads by Anastacia Renee
What happens when queer black women die at the hands of police brutality? What happens when those women are mothers? What happens when those women are in a holding place to cross over? Queer, Mama. Crossroads examines these questions through the lens of three women with the audience as witness.
To dissect layers of systemic police brutality, racism and silenced queer voices to discover/uncover what happens whey the women have transitioned from earth to the crossover waiting room. Covering themes such as intersectionality and paranormal possibilities, Queer, Mama. Crossroads seeks to dismantle and rattle anything you think you already know about being a queer mother at the crossroads of death.
