History Becomes Art
Twenty well-known artists have created artworks in various styles that were inspired by pieces of St. Helena history. They have donated the art to be auctioned at our event.
Lively showman Fritz Hatton, the bow-tied auctioneer with a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Yale -- one of the nations leading wine auctioneers -- will facilitate the sales. His incredibly warm, fun and exuberant personality will keep you entertained and you may not even realize that you just purchased a painting!
Enjoy live music, artisan hors d'oeuvres, and Brasswood Estate and other local wines.
The 2nd annual History Becomes Art has been a labor of love of the St. Helena Historical Society. This event has been organized to help raise funds to establish a permanent home for our collection. With such a facility, the public will be able to learn about the history of our area and enjoy some of the amazing historical artifacts that have been so generously donated to us over the past 15 years.
