Bruce, Not LEE Avery (Type 7 Epicure) "With a mostly 8 wing married a Laura Lee (last name) but 100 years ago the idea of taking my sweetheart's last name never ballooned into my mind - Dam! With two grown biological sons, two 'we mutually chose each other daughters,' and several others who call me dad, I'm a man who loves reading, running, storytelling, and roasting/brewing fantastic coffee. A Kombucha brewer, red wine consumer, an epicurean adventurer of real, amazingly delectable food, Bruce's one word for life is 'friendship.' Lets."
Steve Eggerts, (Type 8 Protector) "As a kid I was always a leader and a risk taker; sometimes both of those things wouldnt work out to well for me. Looking back on my teen years I can see how my being an 8 Protector had a big effect on my life and those around me. But I love being an 8, now that I have had years of therapy and have learned to laugh at myself. Someone needs to say and do the things that others wont. The enneagram has changed my life and my relationships for the better. Join in! I am also a Real Estate Broker at TeamEggerts.com"
Donna McGeein (Type 7 Epicure) "I am a thoughtful #7 Enneagram personality, a teacher and a lover of learning. I recently moved to Portland from Corvallis and thought about joining Toastmasters. Then I thought again - drink a beer, learn storytelling and talk Enneagram - I think I can do that! I was a kid in a large messy family. As an adult in a messy world, I think about thinking and I am learning to embrace the mess."
Nancy Woods (Type 5 Observer) Nancy is a writer, speaker and writing coach. She is the author of Under the Influence of Tall Trees: Humorous Tales From a Pacific Northwest Writer and Hooked on Antifreeze: True Tales About Loving and Leaving Alaska. https://nancy-woods.com/
Tia Sharp (Type 2 Connector) "Born a sociable #2, I am thankful for Mademoiselle Niki Princess Sassy Frassy (my 7lbs. poodle) who never leaves me lonely. We wander among the flowers and trees or bound barefoot on the sand - when she is happy, I am happy. Travel and language fuel my being as they serve as outlets that allow me to have multiple lives, many selves. Some call me a princess, too (like my dog) for I enjoy tasty, beautiful and sunny things that ripen my life - why not fall in love everyday?
Donna Acord (Type 1 Idealist) Donna appreciates that type 1 identity best when it helps her choose just the right gift, card or poem to comfort, support or delight those she cares about. She has found the Enneagram to be a valuable framework for pursuing her various spiritual journeys, most recently through literature.
Jody Feldman (Type 7 Epicure, Self-Preservation) Jody finally moved to Portland recently after traveling here several times a year for almost two decades to be with the kids and now grandkids. She works in Organization Development, specializing in Organizational Change Management, which is the people side of change. She loves to cook, which you will see has relevance to her story. Shes also a bicyclist, and youll see her on the roads, as soon as she finds the bike in her garage. The Human + Business Sides of Change jodyfeldman@verizon.net www.linkedin.com/in/jodyfeldman1
Trish Anderson (Type 9 Mediator) Trish Anderson recently found out she was a Nine, and spends her weekdays peacefully writing and illustrating technical manuals. She is also the captain of Little Boat Enterprises, which covers all the other fun communications things there are to do. Currently, Trish is exploring storytelling, organizing fun things in her neighborhood and making giant bubble juice.
Bonnie Shoffner (Counter Phobic Type 6 Loyal Skeptic) "I like connecting people with nature. I work with volunteers in Metro' s parks and natural areas engaging students and working with native plants. As a volunteer caring for injured and orphaned wildlife at the Portland Audubon Society's Wildlife Care Center. I enjoy serving the public, helping my union and it members, and learning about pollinators with the Oregon Bee Project. "
Clare Quinn (Type 1 Idealist) "Clare is the youngest of 6 in an Irish Catholic family. She enjoys studying French and reading books on all subjects. Her early love of politics stressed her out, so she transferred her love of memorization, statistics and shit talking to something less tinged with despair: professional sports."
Dale Rhodes (Type 4 Romantic) "I hope people come even though I have been poked and prodded to tell Anne and Norm's favorite story of my own habit of longing, envying, and whining (albeit beautifully) about what I am missing. I'm glad to begin any sentence with the words: 'How come I don't have...?' or 'How come you get....?' I'll tell my true story, but I want a pint of beer in a sock monkey coffee cup afterwards. And I'm seriously excited about this community event!" Dale is a mentor and spiritual director who offers individual sessions for anyone interested in using The Enneagram for personal and professional development, and he is the founder of Enneagram Portland, created in 2002 as the citys primary resource for community experience with the 9 Points of View. EnneagramPortland.com will tell all.
