Celebrate Cinco de Mayo @ SAC with Tango, Jazz, Boleros and Dance, featuring world-renowned dancers Sandra Antognazzi and Walter Perez, accompanied by Oscar Feldman on Alto & Baritone Sax, Helio Alves on Piano & Keyboard, Eddy Khaimovich on Bass. Javier Sanchez on Bandoneon, and Claes Brondal on Drums. Plus dancers Sandra Antognazzi and Walter Perez.
Sandra Antognazzi was born and raised in Argentina. Her professional career spans over two decades in performance, choreography and teaching. Sandras most recent tango credits include performing, directing and/or choreographing for Avantango, Todo Tango with the Arturo O'Farrill Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, Tango & Tango with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Cuartetango, Tangos de Gardel a Piazzolla in venues such as Town Hall, Lincoln Centers Rose Hall, Queens Theater in the Park Summer Festival, Spanish Repertory Theater.
She is Artistic Director of Fusion Tango, a dance & music company featuring some of Argentine Tangos most celebrated dancers and musicians, and is Adjunct Dance Faculty at Ramapo College's School of Contemporary Arts since 2002 ,and directs Hoboken Tango Lab.
Walter Perez is a New York-based artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he began dancing tango in 1993. Walter has performed in Argentina both on stage and on television, toured Argentina and Uruguay with the show Tangou.
In 2000, Walter moved to New York City, where he has performed with several companies including "Let's Speak Tango", "All That Tango", "Tango Flamenco Fusion", Tango First Century & Spotlight on Tango. Walter Perez co-founded Malevaje with Leonardo Sardella in 2011. In partnership with IATI, Walter teaches weekly tango lessons at the Central Brooklyn Public Library. He has been the dance instructor for the annual NY Get up! Get moving! at the Hispanic Federation for over 10 years

About The Jam Session Inc.
The Jam Session, Inc. is a non-profit organization focused on the art of improvisational Jazz as the primary foundation, with other styles and influences present as well. Inspired by the late-night jam sessions and loft rehearsals in New York City, The Jam Session believes that the evolution and survival of improvisational music takes place in front of a live audience, being inclusive and accessible to all who want to engage.
