Hip Hop artist, rapper, human beat boxer Baba Israel returns to combine forces with an all-star lineup of jazz musicians for this incredible night of genre fusion.
"One of the main goals of this concert series is to present and showcase the wonderful world of music within the Jazz umbrella and beyond. The roots of rhythm and history of the Americas is the unique melting pot of world cultures and societies. says series organizer Claes Brondal. We want people to experience some of the best music gumbos and genres rooted in this country. The sub-text is that all humans are interconnected and we live on this planet as one - ultimately sharing one big fat world culture. Considering the rich history of the Bronx and Manhattan - Jazz/Salsa/Hip-Hop is the obvious but not famous musical family. There is so much we can do within the spirit and traditions of these styles!"
All concerts are recorded live to be aired at a later date on WPPB, your local NPR Station.
*Doors will open at 6:30 PM for sangria and small bites compliments Union Cantina.
