HAMLET
Continuing a rich tradition, Kings College Theatre is proud to present its 68th annual Shakespeare production with Hamlet. Perhaps Shakespeares most famous tragedy, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is a deeply introspective exploration of all that it means to be human. Returning home from college, Hamlet is thrust into a world of darkness, murder, and destruction. Should he believe his fathers ghost or his own intellect? Should he act or stand silently by? Filled with some of the most beautiful language in all Western literature, the power of this play lies in its brilliantly drawn characters. As relevant today as it was 400 years ago, Hamlet asks audiences the age-old question about what it means to reason, to feel, to be human.
