Join us for a variety show featuring short presentations, songs, and trivia from magazine writers in this issue of Hennepin History. Architectural historian Richard L. Kronick will present the 1938 LIFE magazine story about an Edina family who chose not to build a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Chris Faust will demonstrate how his modern panorama camera works and talk about how antique models were able to precisely document our visual history. Learn how your smartphones capabilities are very similar. Lifelong Hopkins resident Kristin Kaspar will tell stories of the communitys history and offer prizes in a trivia contest. Tina Burnside will play vintage 1970s gospel recordings gathered during her African American History Harvest and give us a glimpse into how that process works. Charlie Maguire will sing his song about Minnesotas famous horse, Dan Patch, and share more information about the countys other famous horse, Whiskey.
