A Morning in Boston with David Whyte
THE BELL AND THE BLACKBIRD Celebrating The Gifted Resilience of the Irish Imagination
The great gift of Irish spirituality has always been its refusal to choose between the deeper, hidden world and the one that immediately surrounds us, both in its profound beauty and in its humorous absurdities. Join David Whyte on Saint Patrick's day morning for an imaginative and poetic journey deep into Connemara and County Clare in the West of Ireland, where the the Celtic identity still lives and celebrates in all its multi layered and unconquerable ways, the timeless difficulties and joys of our time bound world.
Internationally-acclaimed speaker David Whyte is the author of eight books of poetry and four books of prose. He holds a degree in Marine Zoology, honorary degrees from Neumann College and Royal Roads University, and has traveled extensively, including living and working as a naturalist guide in the Galapagos Islands and leading anthropological and natural history expeditions in the Andes, Amazon and Himalaya. He brings this wealth of experience to his poetry, lectures and workshops.
