Creative Dyeing- Intro to Alcohol Inks & Landscapes

This playful class will introduce alcohol inks and markers in an intuitive and relaxing way. Guest artist Daylene Moss will guide students in special techniques on how these highly fluid, transparent, dye-based medium inks can work together to create pictures that have the look of brilliant stained glass. We will discuss color theory, principles and elements of design, as well as composition tips while exploring with these fascinating dyes. This class focuses exclusively on the use of Yupo paper and students will create several samples that can be used as greeting cards, bookmarks, framed art, etc and will culminate with one large "landscape" picture.

Classes appropriate for ages 12-adult.
