Inner Circle Show Dress Rehearsal 2018
The Inner Circle Show is an annual charity event where New York City's political reporters spoof the President, Mayor and top politicos in the state and the nation and in turn take a comedic hit in song, dance and sketches from the Mayor himself.

Held on Friday April 20, 2018 at the New York Hilton Midtown, the festive evening has all the trappings of the fully-paid dinner to be held the next night -- except for the meal and the appearance of Mayor de Blasio. But, attendees don't have to don formal wear and can even bring in their own food and beverage.

In song and dance, the reporters, including many who can actually sing and dance, and a few who make a valiant effort, review the news in biting dialogue and song lyrics. Mayor Bill de Blasio is the center of attention as the members of the print, broadcast and digital media take to the stage to make light of his reign at the top. The governor and the president are not spared either.

The Inner Circle has been entertaining New Yorkers since 1923, when reporters based in City Hall began holding dinners to satirize the politicians they covered. It has been going strong ever since.

Those who attend the dress rehearsal -- a chance for cast members to perfect their performance -- can avail themselves of a special Inner Circle room rate at the New York Hilton Midtown by mentioning the Inner Circle when making room reservations for Friday night April 20.

The Inner Circle is a 501(c)3 charity; profits are distributed to neighborhood charities in the New York City area recommended by Inner Circle members.
