MECAmorphosis

MECAmorphosis: Maine College of Art's annual spring gala celebrates the 2018 Thesis Exhibition and introduces over one hundred emerging artists graduating from Maine College of Art in the BFA, MFA, and MAT programs, as well as raises critical scholarship funds to educate the next generation of artists.

MECAmorphosis consists of two events: The 2018 BFA Thesis Exhibition and The Runway Fashion Show.

Held in collaboration with Portland's First Friday Art Walk, the 2018 Thesis Exhibition opens Friday, May 4 from 5-9pm. Featuring interactive art on 4 Floors of the College's historic Porteous Building, the annual Thesis Exhibition is not to be missed. Free and open to the public.

The Runway Fashion Show premiers the collections of our majors in Textile and Fashion Design. It will take place in the Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) on Friday, May 4 at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7. Tickets are required. Cash Bar.
