HOMEWRECKER by Daniel Pagett
A darkly comedic and highly topical new play, HOMEWRECKER challenges its audience's perception of gender, status, relationships, and the very nature of love itself.
Playwright Daniel Pagett, who most recently brought the sci-fi drama Cloud to Toronto's stage, is a prolific fixture of our independent theatre community and now brings you HOMEWRECKER, directed by Leroy Street Theatre's artistic director Anne van Leeuwen (The Chance; director Red Light Winter). Recently named one of Toronto's Breakthrough Artists of 2017 by NOW Magazine, van Leeuwin will direct a cast of indie theatre stars: Blue Bigwood-Mallin (Tough Jews, Dora Award nomination - Outstanding Ensemble; A Man Walks Into a Bar, MyEntertainmentAward nomination - Outstanding Actor) and Susannah Mackay (Like a Generation, Toronto and Montreal Fringe Festivals; Labour, Theatre Passe Muraille).
With two of Toronto's most exciting indie theatre companies working in Parkdale's hottest new performance space, The Assembly Theatre, HOMEWRECKER is certain to be an exciting, timely, and highly entertaining theatrical event.
