One of the best ways to work out your writing muscles is to share your work with other writers. This class offers a constructive, supportive environment where you can give and receive feedback from your peers, as well as creative writing exercises. A teacher will moderate the class and be available to offer advice as well. This class is for everyone who writes fiction and non-fiction! Please bring 1-2 pages of your work for sharing, or use your in-class exercise(s) as material for gaining feedback on your writing. (Check out Poet's Gym on the 1st Saturday of every month for our poetry writers.)
About the Instructor: As a Writing Doula, Bob Schwartz helps you birth your storybabies. He specializes in creating nurturing and encouraging support groups which transform those terrible-awful-worst-ever first drafts into art you'll love.
Bob uses a mix of psychology, philosophy, kinesthetic writing techniques, and field trips to help you uncover your unique voice.
He has a BA in Psychology, is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, a Teacher Consultant for the Tampa Bay Area Writing Project's children's writing camps, and a professional storyteller specializing in extreme audience participation.
