Centenary College Marjorie Lyons Playhouse presents Sarah Ruhls In the Next Room or the vibrator play, beginning February 22 and running through February 25. The comedy is directed by guest artist Marika Becz.
A Victorian-era drawing room comedy that probes our ageless search for intimacy, independence, and connection. This Tony-nominated play by Sarah Ruhl is a laugh-out-loud examination for the very meaning of happiness. A copiously literary work that also carries a lot of emotional weight as it weaves issues of love, intimacy, relationships, loss and sex into the tale of a clash between two eras; that of the Victorian and the dawning of the machine age.
