Alex Cornish
Alex Cornish is a singer songwriter from Dunbar. He has produced five critically acclaimed albums to date, most recently "Hang on the Word" in July 2017 ("classical and crafted, absolutely magical" said BBC Radio Scotland's Roddy Hart). Previously in a BBC Radio2 session for Dermot O' Leary he was called a "genius", Mark Radcliffe 6Music declared his music to be "absolutely gorgeous'", while past album reviews include "a voice to stand comparison to Thom Yorke" [Scotland on Sunday] and "a beautiful album that has Mercury Music Prize nomination written all over it" [The Sunday Times].
So, with all this praise...why you haven't heard of him? He isn't sure either but you are in for a great night if you come down - classic and inventive singer songwriting, top notch piano playing and stories from the road. Not to be missed.

In this event Alex will be playing solo in a café-style setting in the library at Trinity Academy, Edinburgh with an adjacent bar (cash only). This is a fundraising event organised by the school's Parent Council.
Doors open 730pm with a start time of 8pm
