LA BANDA MORISCA is a group of passionate musicians who have founded or been involved in numerous musical adventures with some of the most remarkable bands from the World Music and traditional Spanish music circuits. Now they are fusing their original and creative view of a traditional repertoire of music with oriental and occidental influences from the South of Mediterranean like Muwashahas, Chaabi, Dahmane el Harachi and Nass el Ghiwane, and the mood of the traditional flamenco from Jerez and Andalusian rock such as Lole & Manuel, El Chozas, and Triana...They have two CDs: La Banda Morisca (2013) and Algarabya (Fol Música, 2016). Now, they are presenting their second album internacionally. In the last two years theyve been in a lot of importants and remarkable stages like: SXSW (Austin), Flamenco Festival (New York), Smarll World (Toronto), Festival de MOnde Arabe (Montrèal), New England Conservatory (Boston), Old Town of Folk Music (Chicago), Festival Internacional de Merzouga (Marruecos), Institut du Monde Arabe (París), Festival des Musiques Métisses (Angoulême), Expo Astaná 2017 (Kazajistán), Sharq Taronalari Festival (Samarqand, Uzbekistán).
Now, they are working in their third album.
