Join us Thursday, February 22 at 6 p.m. in our private dining room for an exclusive Spanish wine dinner! The five-course menu, created by Chef Katie Button, will feature Spanish cuisine carefully paired with select wines from winemaker Alberto Orte. Ortes business partner at Olé Imports, Patrick Mata, will provide insider education and tasting notes while you dine and sip.
Seating is communal and wines will be available to order that evening.
About Alberto Orte wines and Olé Imports:
Alberto Orte Espejo was born in Madrid and now lives in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) with his family. In 1999, at the age of 24, he partnered with his friend Patrick Mata, a native of Malaga, and created Olé Imports. Alberto handles the selection of wines and winemaking in Spain while Patrick manages the commercial and marketing part of the business in the USA.
Patrick Mata and Alberto Orte have searched the Spanish peninsula for wines that share four fundamental elements: terroir, quality fruit, exceptional winemaking, and exceptional value.
Aside from the wine quality, one of the most admirable aspects of Olé Imports is their dedication to social responsibility.
In 2003, Patrick and Alberto decided to establish another company that was directly involved in the production of wine in different areas of Spain, so they created the Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico (CVA), whose fundamental mission is to discover new production areas, unique soils and to recover native varieties.
