Evening of Classical Masterworks at The National Cathedral
Join us for an evening of classical masterworks, featuring the National Festival Chorus and guest conductors Julie Yu & Joshua Oppenheim and composer and conductor Andrea Ramsey on Monday evening, April 16 at 7pm at The National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.
The National Festival Chorus, led by guest conductors Julie Yu and Joshua Oppenheim will perform American composer Randall Thompson's "Frostiana (Seven Country Songs)." In 1958, the town of Amherst commissioned Randal Thompson to compose a choral work commemorating its bicentennial. Thompson chose seven Frost poems and titled his piece, "Frostiana: Seven Country Songs," opening with Frost's famous poem "The Road Not Taken."
The concert will also feature the National Festival Chorus with guest conductor and composer Andrea Ramsey in an array of choral works. The program includes Bohm's "Still Wie Die Nacht", Casals' "Nigra Sum", Ramsey's very own "truth" and "To Hold All Sounds", and more.
Don't miss this exciting evening of choral music at the historic National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.!
Ticket sales will close Sunday, April 15 at 10 AM EST. After this time, tickets will only be available for collection at the door 30 minutes prior to concert performance
