Boundary Avenue (and New Beginnings )
One Trunk Theatre and Sarasvàti Productions are joining forces presenting Boundary Avenue and New Beginnings as a double bill!
New Beginnings is Sarasvàti's latest community collaboration and will use music, dance, film and visual art to tell stories of displacement and resettlement. They have been excited to work with numerous newcomer agencies and interview dozens of individuals who have experienced resettlement. New Beginnings opens on May 22, 2018.
Meanwhile, One Trunk Theatre has been working on Boundary Avenue. It is a documentary-style play co-created by Liam Zarrillo, Andraea Sartison, and Caroline Wintoniw inspired by the stories of Razak Iyal and Seidu Mohammed. It looks at the town of Emerson and the influx of asylum seekers who crossed into Manitoba over the past year.
It was a natural fit to share a performance space and offer audiences a chance to see both shows.
Purchase individual tickets to Boundary Avenue here for $25 general admission, $20 arts worker or $15 for students/seniors.
Or save money by seeing both shows for $40 adults, $35 arts worker, $25 students/seniors!
