Welcome to Seattle's March Is Cabaret Month Festival 2018!
This DISCOUNTED double-feature ticket buys you a seat for back-to-back shows, featuring two performers at 7 pm and a different two performers at 9 pm. (There will be a half-hour break from 8:30 to 9.)
Here's the lineup for Friday, March 9:
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: HELENE SMART in "THINGS ARE LOOKING UP"
Helene celebrates the chance to explore old songs in new ways, new songs in old ways, and whatever happens in between. Join her for show tunes, country, contemporary, American songbook, and a carefully crafted evening of fine lyrics and memorable melodies.
ABOUT HELENE SMART
Helene's fascination with the art of cabaret began when she discovered it was the perfect combination of her love of words and of music. In constant pursuit of yet another songwriting gem, Helene has studied with some of the great practitioners of the craft including Andrea Marcovicci and Karen Mason and has been privileged to perform with Shelly Markham, Stan Keen and Darin Clendenin as music directors. Helene's one-woman shows have been seen at the Gardenia in L.A., The Manor House on Bainbridge Island, the Admiral Theater in Bremerton, and, in Seattle, at the RUINS and The University Club.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: JOANNE KLEIN in "MY LIFE, MY WORK, MYLANTA!!"
A brief moment in time with songs, fake news, re-using, recycling and resisting with Joanne Klein and John Engerman.
ABOUT JOANNE KLEIN
Ms. Klein has performed all over the great Northwest's theatres and venues, as far South as Costa Rica, and on the streets of Paris. With a long career in musical theatre, Ms. Klein also teaches acting, does vocal coaching, and can be heard at jazz jams Sundays through Thursday! As a performer, Joanne is known as wicked funny, a captivating chanteuse, and very healthy. Enjoy!!

Billy Barnes was best known for composing "Too Long At The Fair" and "Something Cool". But did you know he wrote music for Laugh-In, The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, the opening of Disneyworld, and so much more?
ABOUT ROBYN SPANGLER
PLAYBILL Pick and Broadway World award-winner Robyn Spangler has wowed audiences around the world at concert and convention dates, benefits, private events, and clubs around the US and in London. Her album "Something Cool" was named one of the best of 2017 by All About Jazz. Robyn has recorded three albums with o.p. records: "On A Liquid Afternoon, "Why I Love Linda Ronstadt" and "Something Cool: The Billy Barnes Sessions", as well as singles including "Consider Reconsidering Me" and the self-penned single "Second Wind" which spent two weeks at #1 on ReverbNation. Robyn has received airplay on Delta Airlines' Hello Music Channel.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: CAROLYN MAGOON in IN MY ROOM: SONGS I LOVE TO SING INTO A HAIRBRUSH
Join Carolyn as she journeys back to the 70s, 80s and 90s with songs that brought her such joy alone, on a stool, in front of a mirror, with her hairbrush... in her room.
ABOUT CAROLYN MAGOON
Carolyn has been performing everywhere for over three decades! She has enjoyed roles at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, ACT and several other regional theatres. Carolyn worked as a production singer for Carnival Cruise Lines and sang in a London wine bar back in the day. Carolyn was last seen as Marge in Showtunes Theatre Company's production of "The Bridges of Madison County". You can catch her around town in Hot Lava, a B-52s tribute band. She is thrilled to be joining March Is Cabaret Month for her sixth year!
