ABOUT PHIL SHALLAT & JOHN ENGERMAN
From "Ronnie Bwana - Jungle Guide" in the '70s through The Fabulous Sateens in the '80s to their new show "Italy On the Rocks", Phil and John have collaborated on dozens of songs for musical theatre and cabaret productions. Phil also performed as front man/vocalist with The New Deal Rhythm Band, and John has played for many, many March Is Cabaret Month acts, including Arnaldo! Dragchanteuse, The Sirens of Swing, Miz Lawanda Dupree & Angie Louise, Joanne Klein, Carolyn Magoon, and his own adult Mother Goose show, "Gaggle".
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: THE SIRENS OF SWING in "MAKING BLEEMA GREAT AGAIN"
That trio of swingin' cousins returns to Egan's with a new agenda: Roll out the Schpemfa and restore the glory of their homeland by swinging harder and hotter than any other representatives to the UN. Fremtak m'wow!
ABOUT THE SIRENS OF SWING
Sirens of Swing features three of Seattle's cabaret luminaries - Karen Kay Cody, Joanne Klein and Jayne Muirhead - with music direction by John Engerman. First produced in the '90s, their tributes to the infectious sounds of classic vocal trios such as the Boswell Sisters and the Andrews Sisters were hit shows at the Cabaret de Paris. With lush harmonies and jive rhythms, they take audiences on a musical journey back to the 1930s and '40s full of sass and romance. Additional original arrangements of tunes such as "Moonglow" and "Sheik of Araby" make this a musical evening to remember.
MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents: ARNALDO! DRAG CHANTEUSE and SWEET SPOT COMBO in "WHAT IS THIS THING CALLED LOVE?"
Join drag chanteuse Arnaldo! and mid-century jazz and swing aficionados Sweet Spot Combo as they join forces in a musical tour of the many sides of love.
ABOUT ARNALDO! DRAG CHANTEUSE
Arnaldo! has thrilled audiences from Seattle and New York to Puerto Vallarta and Manila, and received the NY's Bistro Award 2008, Manila's Gawad Musika Award 2014 and Filipino Community of Seattle's Lifetime Achievement Award in Arts & Culture 2016. Founder of Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association and artistic director of Seattle's March is Cabaret Month, Arnaldo! wants to thank the passion and tenacity of all cabaret musical performers in helping to preserve the Great American Songbook. Music director and accompanist: John Engerman.

ABOUT SWEET SPOT COMBO
Sweetspot Combo mines its material from the deep vein of gold that is mid-20th century music. We share a passion for the swing, jazz and popular music of that era. From the Mills Brothers to the Four Freshmen to the Rat Pack and beyond, we love it all. Upright bass, guitar, cocktail drums and three voices make for a lush wall of sound. A swinging good time is often the result.
