Bloodshot Dawn, Aepoch and Augurium- Regina
The band's current line up was solidified in late 2009 and they began preparing material for their follow up to Coalition Of Terror. This came in the form of the Slaves To The Lie EP, released in February 2011. This EP was self-financed and made available worldwide via all major online distribution websites. Bloodshot Dawn supported the release with tour dates in the UK, including gigs with Vader, Krisiun, and Cerebral Bore.
The album was completed in December 2011 and was self-released on 26th January 2012. The critically acclaimed album has received extremely positive feedback from the fans, reviews, interviews and radio play. Terrorizer cited the album as a polished exercise in technical fury & unremitting brutality, going on to say what Bloodshot Dawn offer is something slick and streamlined without losing sight of the main goal: to smash your teeth in.
Later in 2012 Bloodshot Dawn played a packed out performance at 'Bloodstock Open Air' festival, the UK's largest independent metal festival, as well as playing frequent shows around the UK including a full tour support to Death Metal legends, Decapitated.
Following the success of their debut album, Bloodshot Dawn entered Envy Studios in September 2012 to record a brand new single,"Theoktony", between tour commitments. The single was released on October 26th 2012 with all proceeds in support of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation (www.sophielancasterfoundation.com)
Our name was derived from the word EPOCH which means: In the fields of chronology and periodization, an epoch is an instant in time chosen as the origin of a particular era. The "epoch" then serves as a reference point from which time is measured. Time measurement units are counted from the epoch so that the date and time of events can be specified unambiguously.
When we came up with the name we were thinking to ourselves about the sun's cycle and states and the epoch's it goes through in a period of 2000 years, and the full count on the Mayan calendar, 2 different examples of epoch's. We decided to ad the Æ because we thought it was more original and we liked how it sounded and looked. Now it is a word that is truly ours.
Formed in September 2012 by Cannibal Christ (Ex Moltar, Invitation to Die, Newborn Genocide, Kynesys) and Brett MacIntosh (Ex Breaching the Peace, Columbian Necktie) after meeting through a mutual friend. Sharing a mutual interest for varied forms of heavy music and came to realize the amount of written material present between them. After recruiting Drummer Greg Carvalho, and Guitar Player Bobby Chounramany (Ex Breaching the Peace), the band quickly adapted to the individual styles of each member and have been writing for the first "Concept" EP.
Before the completion of the EP, Chris had to leave the band due to scheduling and person time issues. Æpoch played for a year as a 3 piece with Bobby Chounramany stepping up with all lead guitar duties during this time and Brett taking over the full vocal duties along with bass and Greg still on drums.
For the release of the new album Æpoch added guitarist Kyle Edissi who became an essential aspect of the bands live performance.
Aepochalypse was released on December 18th 2015 digitally and July 23rd 2016 on CD. It has received good impressions from fans all around. This EP focused much more on progressive writing in the newer songs. It includes a massive 15 minute 2 part song as well as a gorgeous guest solo by Benjamin Ellis (Scar Symmetry, ex- Bloodshot Dawn)
In June - October 2017 they recorded their debut full length album with producer Jonah K of Monarch Woods. Their album is set to be released in spring 2018.
Æpoch has played with bands such as Cryptopsy, Kataklysm, Beyond Creation, Allegaeon, Archspire, Act Of Defiance, Carach Angren, First Fragment, Inanimate Existence, Becomes Astral
